Three Charlottesville School Board members seek re-election

Michie, Puryear and Wade will run as a group.

Three familiar faces are seeking re-election to the Charlottesville School Board. The Daily Progress reports that Board Chairman Ned Michie and members Leah Puryear and Juandiego Wade are interested in campaigning as a group.

“We’ve decided to run as a team,” said Wade.

The trio will focus their efforts on implementing the efficiency study that was done last fall and that called, among other things, for one elementary school to shut down, promising an annual savings of $467,000.
