David Slutzky says he needs more time. The Daily Progress reports that Slutzky has decided to take a couple more days to announce whether he will challenge State Delegate Rob Bell, whose district includes much of Albemarle County.
In the meantime, Slutzky was selected as chairman of the County Board of Supervisors for 2009. Ann Mallek will be the vice chairman.
Slutzky is up of re-election in November as a representative of the Rio District in the county. The seats of supervisors Sally Thomas and Dennis Rooker are also up in November; neither have announced whether they will run for re-election.
