Abode’s 2018 From the Ground Up! Contest
For more than 15 years, Abode has given readers a peek inside the most beautiful homes in our area. And while seeing a finished product is a satisfying experience, in 2018, Abode wants to follow a homeowner as his or her house is built—from the initial concept to completion—to give readers a better picture of what it takes to make their dream a reality.
What we’re looking for: An enthusiastic, personable client who is willing to give us an all-access pass to the plans and pitfalls of their homebuilding process. And the same goes for the architect. We’ll check in once per quarter to see what the big “theme” has been recently (insulation, plumbing, revising the floor plan—anything!) and, with your help, frame a story around that.
Fill out the following form by Friday, December 15. A final decision will be made in early January 2018.
Entering your work for consideration is an acknowledgment that you (and your client!) are willing and able to commit to quarterly articles about the project’s progress. It is also an agreement that you are willing and able to participate in interviews and photography for each published piece.
