A new hat has landed in the ring for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Well, maybe.
Charlottesville Tomorrow reports that John Lowry, chairman of the Albemarle County Economic Development Authority, has filed paperwork to run for the Samuel Miller district supervisor seat that is currently held by Sally Thomas. Lowry has also put up a website, although he tells Charlottesville Tomorrow that he’s still exploring the option of running.
Thomas hasn’t announced yet if she will run for re-election.
Dennis Rooker’s seat in the Jack Jouett district, and David Slutzky’s Rio district seat will also be on the ballot in November.
