Corey Anthony Mosley, a redshirt sophomore who this season claimed a starting position at safety for the UVA football team, was charged with disorderly conduct by University police after he allegedly refused to comply with event staff at an on-campus dance at 1am early Sunday morning.

UVA police are charging another safety on the football team, Ausar Amad Walcott, with obstruction of justice, saying that he tried to interfere with Mosley’s arrest.

The student athletes are scheduled to appear in Albemarle General District Court on February 27 at 9am, according to the police.

Corey Mosley started the last nine games at safety in 2008, racking up 46 tackles and a fumble recovery.
