In a press release, the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors (CAAR) announced today that it is endorsing four candidates for local office. The four will receive financial support through the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) of Virginia.
In the race for Charlottesville’s City Council, CAAR is backing current Mayor Dave Norris and fellow Democrat Kristin Szakos. In the race for Albemarle County’s Board of Supervisors, the organization is behind two Republicans: Duane Snow in the Sam Miller District and Rodney Thomas in the Rio District.
Snow is running against Democrat Madison Cummings and Independent John Lowry for the seat soon to be vacated by Democrat Sally Thomas, and Rodney Thomas is a Republican candidate for the seat currently held by Democrat (and board chair) David Slutzky.
The election is November 3.
