The U.S. 250 Bypass and McIntire Road interchange, part of the Meadowcreek Parkway (MCP), is one step closer to becoming reality.
On October 1, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approved the project’s environmental impact, reports The Daily Progress.
The FHWA’s approval for all federally funded projects was required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), which also mandates federal projects to have rational end points, a major point of contention between those in favor of and those opposed to the Meadowcreek Parkway.
