Mike London has suspended three UVA football players for conduct detrimental to the team.
Since Coach London arrived in Charlottesville he has made it known that his players must go to class, and they also must live up to a higher code if they want to see the field for the University.
Here is a quote from London regarding the matter: "“The players know the expectations I have for them as student-athletes both on and off the field, and as representatives of both the football program and the University, I am disappointed in the conduct of these individuals and the fact they chose not to represent themselves in the appropriate manner. They will not participate in any team activities while suspended, but they will continue to attend all study halls and to meet their academic requirements.”
It is not known at this time what the players did to get into Coach London’s doghouse, or whether or not these players will ever see the field again for London’s Wahoos.
Coach London just announced an outstanding and Top-20 recruiting class last week, and Virginia should be poised to have a better season in 2011. Go Hoos!
