Organizing for America (OFA) opened a new Charlottesville office this past weekend. The site will serve as a community hub for the Democratic organization in the 2012 election season.

Virgina House of Delegates Democratic Leader David Toscano joined Obama supporters yesterday in Charlottesville for the grand openings of the new office at 407 East Main Street.

According to a press release, OFA volunteers in Virginia have reached out to over 450,000 Virgininians since the launch of Obama’s re-election campaign last April. The organization has also hosted over 7,500 events.

A new office was also added in Danville over the weekend. Existing offices are already located in Fairfax, Newport News, Petersburg, Fredericksburg, and the statewide headquarters in Richmond.
