Green happenings: Charlottesville environmental news and events

Become a Master: For any nature lovers interested in becoming a Virginia Master Naturalist, the group is holding an informational meeting in the Education Center at Ivy Creek Natural Area Tuesday, January 15, at 7pm. The education program begins in mid-February, with classes on Wednesday mornings and some Saturdays.

Brown bag it: For a chance to learn more about the Rivanna River and its surrounding land, join members of the Rivanna Conservation Society for ThirdThursdays Brown Bag Lecture Series. Bring your own lunch to the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library at 12pm on the third Thursday of each month to listen to a lecture about the river.

Agribusiness education: The Albemarle County Economic Development and the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to host an agribusiness marketing conference at the end of the month. Monday, January 28, join the business experts and other farmers and food  lovers at 8am at the Albemarle County office building on McIntire Road for in-depth discussions about where to sell, how to supplement farm income, and food regulations.
