Biker path
The Southern’s been sleeping off New Year’s Eve for the past few weeks, but on Friday the stage lights go back on for some popular up-and-comers. Since 2005, The Mantras have been producing a unique mix of funk rock, Middle Eastern, electronic and metal, but it was 2012 that saw them open for George Clinton and P-Funk, Umphrey’s McGee, and EOTO and initiate their own High Country Motorcycle Camp music festival Mantrabash in the stomping grounds of Ferguson, North Carolina.
Friday 1/18 $10, 9pm. The Southern Café and Music Hall, 103 S. First St. 977-5590.
