What’s coming up the week of July 8?

Each week, the news team takes a look at upcoming meetings and events in Charlottesville and Albemarle we think you should know about. Consider it a look into our datebook, and be sure to share newsworthy happenings in the comments section.

  • Albemarle County’s Acquisition of Conservation Easements Committee (ACE) will meet at 5pm Monday, July 8 at the County Office Building on 5th Street Extended, Conference Room C.
  • The Pantops Community Advisory Council (PCAC) will meet from 6-7:30pm Monday, July 8 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. PCAC is an advisory committee that provides assistance to County staff and the Board of Supervisors on civic and community issues related to implementation of the Pantops Master Plan.
  • The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will hold a meeting from 6-9pm Wednesday at the County Office Building on McIntire Road to appoint an interim supervisor to fill the seat vacated by Chris Dumler. The Board will also hold hearings on a few zoning issues, and the meeting will be preceded by a 3:30-5:30pm work session on solid waste. Look over the agenda here.
  • The Albemarle County School Board meets at 6:30pm Thursday, July 11 at the County Office Building on McIntire Road. Check the agenda here.
