Light House Studios fundraiser showcases films by local youth

Light House Studios, the award-winning program of filmmaking workshops for local youth, will present its 12th annual screening of student work on Friday, September 13th at the Jefferson Theater.

“This year we have more narrative films than usual, including an FX-heavy Sci-Fi adventure called Space Girl.” said Light House program director Jason Robinson. The program also includes a documentary about local restaurants that refuse to deliver to to the Westhaven neighborhood, as well as animation, and several music videos made by Light House students for local bands, including Weird Mob and Dwight Howard Johnson.

The Light House Youth Film Festival begins with a reception at 6:30, followed by a screening at 8pm. Tickets are $77.50 for Adults (as a fundraiser for the Light House programs), or $21 for students, and are available via the Light House website and at the Jefferson box office.
