2-blockTalking points

Claire Mills

Age: 14

Attends: Albemarle High School

Likes: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, “Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations, “Sherlock.”

Dislikes: Justin Bieber, slow Internet, rude people.

What would you do if you were president? Promote equality, try to get Congress to actually do something, try to make America a better place to live, promote environmental health.

What advice would you give your parents? To remember that teenagers are always sort of a mess, so give them a break every once in a while.

If you grew up to be famous, what would you want to be famous for? Acting.

At what age is a person an adult? What makes you think so? It depends on every person, as people mature at different rates. I feel like there also isn’t really a definition of adult. You’re legally an adult when you turn 18, but I wouldn’t say many 18-year-olds are adults. It’s sort of a personal thing, rather than a set age.

What’s the hardest thing about being a kid? People don’t take you seriously enough when you have good points.

What do you think life will be like in five years? Hopefully more environmentally sound, and more equal for everyone everywhere.

How do you know if you’re in love? I don’t know. You get really bubbly when you’re around them, and you feel really happy but you also get awkward around them.

What do you know how to do that you can teach to others? I can make really cool melted crayon art.

If you could be a sound, what would you be? The sound of an airplane taking off.

If you could choose a new name for yourself, what would it be? I’ve always liked the name Isabelle.

If you could invent something that would make life easier for people, what would you invent? Something that would keep your phone charged for the whole day.
