- The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board meets at 1pm Monday, April 21 in Room 241 at the County Office Building on McIntire Road.
- The Charlottesville City Council meets from 7-11pm Monday in Council chambers at City Hall. Among the agenda items are a public hearing on curbside recycling options in the city and a first reading on an ordinance establishing a local stormwater management program.
- The local League of Women Voters holds a community dialogue on childcare issues from noon to 1:15pm Tuesday at the African African-American Heritage Center at the Jefferson School City Center.
- The city will hold a public meeting on to discuss plans to replace the Belmont Bridge at 6:30pm Wednesday at The Bridge PAI, 209 Monticello Road. There will be one more meetings (at 6pm Thursday, May 8 at CitySpace) before a public hearing on the issue at the May 18 City Council meeting.
- The Route 29 Advisory Council meets from 1-3pm Thursday at the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Center for Transportation Innovation and Research to discuss plans for the corridor in the wake of the freezing of the Western Bypass project.
- Charlottesville’s City Council holds a work session on proposals for the City Market space from 5-7pm Thursday in council chambers at City Hall.
- The Eco Fair returns Sunday, April 27 to the Main Street Arena. From 11am-5pm, vendors and information booths will fills the arena. Find out more at earthweek.org.
