First Fridays is a monthly art event featuring exhibit openings at many Downtown art galleries and additional exhibition venues. Several spaces offer receptions. Listings are compiled in collaboration with Piedmont Council for the Arts. To list an exhibit, please send information two weeks before opening to arts@c-ville.com.

McGuffey Art Center 201 Second St. NW. “McGuffey for the Arts!” A fundraiser with 50 works of 12×12″ art sold at a set rate of $150 per piece with all profits benefiting the McGuffey Scholarship Program and the Make McGuffey Green Program in the Lower Hall Galleries and Sarah B. Smith Gallery; “Art Now- Recent Work by UVA Art Majors” featuring works in all media by fourth year studio art majors in the Upper Hall Galleries. 5:30-7:30pm.
