- The Albemarle Architectural Review Board meets at 1pm Monday, November 17 in Room 241 at the County Office Building on McIntire Road. Up for discussion: ARB review of the county’s new rules for wireless towers and design criteria for electronic message signs.
- Albemarle Supervisors hold a string of town-hall meeting on the county’s five-year plan this week, seeking input from residents on funding priorities in the near future. Liz Palmer kicks it off with a meeting from 6:30-8:30pm Monday at Red Hill Elementary School. Diantha McKeel and Brad Sheffield hold another town hall from 6:30-8:30pm Tuesday at the Senior Center at 1180 Pepsi Place. Ann Mallek joins Liz Palmer for another meeting from 7-9pm Tuesday at Henley Middle School in Crozet. Brad Sheffield holds one from 6:30-8:30pm Wednesday at CATEC. Mallek and Sheffield hold a meeting from 7-9pm Thursday at Broadus Wood Elementary, and Mallek holds another from 10am-noon Saturday at the White Hall Community Center.
- The Charlottesville City Council meets at 7pm Monday, November 17 in Council chambers at City Hall. The agenda includes a resolution on a funding request from local financial advising nonprofit BankOn and a report from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Jail.
- The Charlottesville and Albemarle planning commissions hold a joint meeting from 6 to 8pm Tuesday, November 18 in Room 241 at the County Office Building.
- A final stakeholder meeting of the Free Bridge congestion relief project will take place from 4-7pm Wednesday, November 19.
- The Route 29 Project Advisory Committee meets from 2-4pm Thursday, November 20 at the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Center for Transportation Innovation and Research, 530 Edgemont Road.
