For all the wine lovers out there, I have bad news: The first annual International Food and Wine Experience has been postponed due to economic conditions.
The food and wine extravaganza was scheduled for January 23-25. The event is now scheduled for the summer, July 31 to August 2.
The event was to include seminars with renowned chefs and winemakers, tastings and a final evening Grand Banquet. According to the website, this would be the first time Virginia wineries are “integrated into the global wine environment.”
"We are going to contact every ticket holder," says event President Tim O’Brien. He would not comment on the number of tickets already sold.
