Woodson pleads guilty to I-64 shootings

Woodson’s minimum sentence is three years in prison.

Slade Allen Woodson pleaded guilty yesterday to 14 felonies in Albemarle County Circuit Court for last March’s I-64 shootings. Minimum mandatory sentence?  Three years.

According to the Daily Progress, County Commonwealth’s Attorney Denise Lunsford said that although the statute could grant him a sentence between 28 to 150 years in prison, Woodson could get a sentence of less than 28 years.

In December, Woodson fired attorney Jim Hingeley citing disagreements over key issues in the case.

Woodson has been sentenced to two years in prison in Waynesboro Circuit Court for six felony counts in connection with the I-64 shootings.
