Yesterday, with a 6-0 vote, the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority selected a local engineering firm, Schnabel Engineering Associates, for the new Ragged Mountain Dam design.
The new firm will replace Gannett Fleming.
According to Charlottesville Tomorrow, Schnabel Engineering Associates was awarded the $1.3 million contract for a new design and a new cost for the dam by spring 2010.
