Hoos Win Again on the Hardwood 76-55 over Oral Roberts!

Virginia wins again at the John Paul Jones Arena 76-55 against Oral Roberts University. The announced attendance was 8,828, but it looked like to me that there were only about 5 thousand folks there.

The 3-1 Wahoos won another blow-out today against the visiting Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 76-55. Virginia finished the contest with 4 players in double-figures, and were led on both ends of hardwood by Mike Scott. Scott tallied 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Hoos, also saw the return of 7-footer Assane Sene (8 points in 13 minutes), who gave the team a menacing force in the middle. Sene, who is from Senegal, had been serving a three game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.

Virginia did not shoot the ball very well (25-55 .455) this afternoon, but did play an excellent game defensively. The Hoos totally dictated the pace of the game, and had only 10 turnovers. The Cavs led by six at the break, but went on a 11-4 run to start the second half, and never looked back while winning their second game in a row.

The Cavaliers head to Cancun, Mexico tomorrow, and will play Stanford on Tuesday. This team really looks like they are having a blast playing hoops, something that did not happen in the tenure of prickly Dave Leitao. Go Hoos!
