Princeton Review says MBA students love Darden School of Business

In the second annual “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools,” Darden ranked among the top 15 business programs in four categories

MBA students love UVA’s Darden School of Business, and that’s a fact. According to Princeton Review’s second annual “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools,” Darden ranked among the top 15 programs (out of 301) in four of the survey’s six categories: Finance, Accounting, General Management and Operations. The lists are compiled by Princeton Review with some help from Entrepreneur magazine, and are produced from surveys sent to more than 19,000 MBA students, according to a press release from Darden.

What sort of company does Darden keep? In the Finance category, for example, Darden is alongside Columbia University Business School, Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, among others.

“We’re delighted with the students’ assessment that Darden’s world-class courses have prepared them for success in each of the four areas. Our commitment remains to offer the highest value-added MBA education in the world,” said Bob Bruner, Darden’s dean, in the release.

Those who love Darden will be happy to learn that, on Thursday and Friday, Bruner will moderate a panel with Senator Mark Warner, among others, at UVA’s Second Annual Venture Summit. At 10:30am on Thursday, Bruner will chat with Warner in a session called "Government Policy, Entrepreneurship, and the Financing of Innovation." On Friday, Darden will host the UVA Student Entrepreneur and Faculty Start-up Interactive Showcase as part of the Venture Summit.
