Tonight the Southern hosts the greatest of all rock’n’rolling local holiday events. Now in its seventh year Sarah White’s Country Christmas Show brings together some of the best songwriters in town for a night of holiday cheer: Old Calf, Jim Waive and the Young Divorcées, the (All New) Acorn Sisters and Paul Curreri. What a lineup! That’s at 7pm, and the cover is $15—oh, and don’t forget to bring some canned foods for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
Also tonight, the Christian Breeden’s team of folk thrashers reunites under the the American Dumpster banner for a show to celebrate Fellini’s anniversary. (Details are here.) It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Dump, as I’ve been lead to believe they’re colloquially called, so this is not to be missed. Check out "the world’s weirdest bar band" here.
What are you up to this weekend?
