The eclectic cellist and songwriter Ben Sollee last came to town in July with My Morning Jacket’s Jim James and Daniel Martin Moore for a songwriters-in-the-round style benefit for Appalachian Voices at the Jefferson Theater. Sollee returns to town Saturday night for a show at the Southern, and is touring in support of a broader lifestyle-art project he calls "Inclusions": "Beyond bridging genres and demographics with earnest, dynamic songwriting and passionate performances, Ben Sollee seeks to intertwine his music with art and life. The theme of Inclusions is large, humanistic and universal—how relationships influence us all whether intentional or not."
