- The Charlottesville City Council holds its first regular meeting of the month at 7pm today. On the agenda: resolutions regarding the Market District Steering Committee and support for a grant from the EPA’s Brownfields program, reports on the state legislative agendas for the city and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, and an update on the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau’s marketing plan.
- There’s something kind of important going down Tuesday. There’s an election—maybe you heard something about it? Polling places are open from 6am to 7pm. Don’t know where to vote? A city list and map of precincts is here; the county’s precinct and district breakdown is here.
- Wednesday brings the first Albemarle County Board of Supervisors meeting, which starts at 9:30am. A few agenda highlights: a report on the TJPDC legislative agenda at 9:45am, a report on the planned police firing range in the Samuel Miller District at 10am, and work sessions on critical slops and the five-year financial plan for the general fund at 2:15pm. The County BOS holds more meetings Thursday—a 2:30pm joint meeting with the Economic Development Authority, and a 3:30pm joint meeting with the Albemarle County School Board.
- Charlottesville’s PLACE Design Task Force meets at noon on Thursday in the Neighborhood Development Services Conference Room in City Hall. The agenda includes an update on the presentation schedule for the Belmont Bridge project.
