What’s happening in Charlottesville and Albemarle the week of January 19?

  • The Charlottesville City Council will meet at 7pm on Tuesday, January 20 (the meeting is pushed back a day due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday) in Council chambers at City Hall. The agenda includes a resolution on a University of Virginia liaison to City Council and a resolution on a sublease for the City Market.
  • The Charlottesville Board of Architectural Review meets at 5:30pm on Tuesday, January 20 in the basement conference room of City Hall.
  • The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board meets at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 20 in Lane Auditorium in the downtown County Office Building.
  • The Charlottesville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 5:30pm Wednesday, January 31 at Carver Recreation Center.
  • The Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation and Albemarle Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a joint open house at 6:30pm on Thursday, January 22 at Carver Recreation Center to review the design for the McIntire Skate Park.
