With construction drawing to a close on the $11 million City Transportation Center, the Downtown Mall will be a quiet place for a few weeks. However, the sounds of silence will come to a close on April 19 with the first concert of the Charlottesville Pavilion’s 2007 season.
The first acts of the 2007 Budweiser Concert Season were announced at 10am on March 13. Additionally, the weekly “Fridays After Five” free concert series, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, released the first half of its scheduled concerts—concerts kick off April 20 with Sons of Bill, and run each Friday from 5:30 to 8:30pm. Save the date for the August 18 concert by country musician John Prine, tickets for the Budweiser concerts will go on sale Friday, March 23 at 10am. See below for a complete list of acts:
