(PG, 112 minutes) When used in moderation, shopahol can enhance the joy of life. But for Isla Fisher, as a young, suddenly popular advice columnist in New York City, moderation might not be an option. Monsters vs. Aliens (PG, 94 minutes) The latest from DreamWorks, about a woman who makes some unlikely new friends after being transformed into an enormous monster. Fantastic Hollywood voice cast.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Taken (PG-13, 91 minutes) When his daughter gets kidnapped during her Parisian vacation, ex-spy Liam Neeson assures her abductor that he’s made a bad move, then goes to the cupboard to open a can of whoop-ass. Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail
(PG-13, 103 minutes) Writer-actor-director-franchise curator Tyler Perry stars in another self-adapted screen version of his own play, in which his comically hotheaded drag matriarch…well, you read the title. Co-starring Keshia Knight Pulliam—yes, the little girl from “The Cosby Show”—as an incarcerated hooker who needs Madea’s help. Playing at Regal Downtown Mall 6
