Hannah Graham exclusive: Aerial photos show investigators at Old Lynchburg property

Aerial photographs taken for C-VILLE Weekly by photographer Skip Degan confirm an intensive investigative effort is underway at 3193 Old Lynchburg Road, the property first identified by journalist Coy Barefoot at Insidecville.com as the likely location of human remains found during the search for Hannah Graham.

In addition to a line of more than a dozen law enforcement vehicles along the road, the photos show yellow police tape surrounding much of the 2.5-acre parcel, and in the upper right of the above photo, there appear to be investigators in the woods behind the smaller building. The property, which has been listed for sale several times in recent years according to online records and is assessed for $247,000, consists of a 1,056-square-foot main residence that was built in 1983 and remodeled in 2006, according to Albemarle County real estate records, as well as a 672-square-foot cottage.

At a press conference on Saturday announcing the grim discovery by a team of searchers from the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo said the remains will be sent to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond for identification and further forensic testing.

This is a developing story..
