Morning graffiti from Warren Craghead

Our favorite Post-It punk checks in with us (kind of) via musical notes and more

On my way to work a few weeks ago, I crossed Water Street near the King Building and was headed up Fourth Street when I caught a glimpse of this:

You might recognize a few familiar symbols from Warren Craghead, whose drawings appeared in a C-VILLE feature a few weeks ago and, if you’re looking carefully, pop up around town more often than you’d imagine. We had a blast folding the book Craghead made for C-VILLE, The Surf and The Face, which you can put together for yourself here.

And for those of you who don’t like ink on your paws, Craghead recently posted an animated version of his excellent mini-book, The Dot and The Line. Watch it below:

For those of you who enjoy scavenger hunts, keep an eye on Craghead’s Seed Toss blog to find out where the artist is posting is most recent work. Or, as the man himself says, "E-mail me an address and I will send you a postcard." Feedback just received one last week, in fact!
